GM December '09 sales up 7% for core brands

General Motors announces December 2009 sales figures. Core brands are up, however sales figures including all brands still under the GM North America umbrella are down.

News: GM Moving Forward With Plans To Sell Saturn Brand

General Motors says it is proceeding with plans to sell the Saturn brand by later this year.  In a release this morning, GM says "a number of potential buyers have surfaced and expressed interest" in Saturn.  The company is not identifying any of the interested parties but will review all offers and look to reach an agreement with one later this year.

Saturn has 400 retailers across the country including Saturn of Columbia here in the Midlands.

GM Steps Up Restructuring Plan


GM President/CEO Fritz Henderson makes major announcements about restructuring plan on Monday, April 27, 2009. Included are status updates on the HUMMER, Saturn and Saab divisions; confirmation of plans to phase out the Pontiac division; plans for additional job cuts and plant closings; and negotiations with the United Auto Workers union.
