General Motors unveils first Buick drop-top in 25 years at North American International Auto Show preview event on Sunday, January 11, 2015. The Cascada is a rebadged Opel from GM's European arm. Looks quite nice! It will be GM's first mainstream convertible since the Pontiac G6 Convertible was lost to bankruptcy.

GM December '09 sales up 7% for core brands
General Motors announces December 2009 sales figures. Core brands are up, however sales figures including all brands still under the GM North America umbrella are down.

GM Steps Up Restructuring Plan

GM President/CEO Fritz Henderson makes major announcements about restructuring plan on Monday, April 27, 2009. Included are status updates on the HUMMER, Saturn and Saab divisions; confirmation of plans to phase out the Pontiac division; plans for additional job cuts and plant closings; and negotiations with the United Auto Workers union.
